The Naomh Mhuire Bord na nOg coaching week will be held in the banks from Monday 16th July - Friday 20th July. This is a popular week for our under-age players and a week they look forward to every year. This year there will be county players in attendance during the week plus each child that participates in the week will get a leather gaelic football. The camp runs daily from Monday starting at 10am - 2pm. Registration will take place from 9.30am - 10am on Monday morning in the clubhouse. The cost of the camp is 30 euro per child or 50 euro per family for the week. All ages from 5 years - 14 years welcome. All monies raised from the week will go straight back into the Bord na nOg. There is plenty of action at the banks this week with 5 games taking place on Monday and Wednesday. First up are the under 12s who play Dungloe in 2 games at 5.15pm and 6pm. Then it is the turn of the under 16 who play county league finalists Aodh Ruadh in the semi-final of the southern championship. Then on wednesday evening the under 14s play their opening championship game against last years under 13 county champions Naomh Conaill. This game is followed by the minors who take on the favourites for this years minor title Kilcar in a league game. Good luck to all teams.

Annagry won both the boys competition to retain their title and also won the girls competition taking the title from Ranafast. Some great games on the day with little to choose between the schools, with Annagry's bigger squad getting them across the line. Thanks to the teachers on the day and also to the referees for officiating the games. Thanks to coach Robbie o Donnel for all the work in the schools this year and for organising the blitz. There will be an under 10 blitz in the banks this Saturday morning. Three teams will take part on the day, Naomh Mhuire, Naomh Conaill and Dungloe. The first game begins at the earlier time 10.30am due to the Donegal match in the evening. All players should be there no later than 10am and have their shorts and socks.
The 3rd annual primary schools blitz will take place in the banks this Wednesday starting at 10am. The competition involves the national schools from the area with a boys and a girls competition. Annagry will be hoping to defend the boys title and Ranafast will be hoping to defend the girls title. Good luck to all teams involved.
The waiting is over - which team are you on for the 2012 Naomh Mhuire summer league? The league begins this Friday evening from 5.30pm - 6.30pm and will continue every Friday until we have our champions for 2012. This year we have 6 teams so the competition is going to be tougher and difficult to win. Good luck to all the teams. The under 12s will play Naomh Conaill on Friday evening in the banks with the first game at 6pm. This Friday night the minors make the trip to Bundoran for their 2nd league game of the season. Bring shorts, socks and gloves. The game throws in at 7pm.
The under 14 boys will travel to Gaothdobhair this Saturday for their re-arranged friendly. The game throws-in at 5pm and will take place in Gaothdobhair. The bus will leave the car park at 4.15pm. Bring shorts, socks and gloves. The under 12s will travel to Glenties on Monday evening next for a Go Games blitz. they will compete against Naomh Conaill, Ardara and Na Rossa. the bus will leave the car park at 4.30pm. All players should bring shorts, socks and gloves. The simmer league has been delayed by a week as the pitch under-goes some work. It will now start on Friday 4th May from 5.30pm - 6.30pm at the banks and will run every Friday. Teams will be posted on the website at the beginning of next week. Keep a look out to see what team you will be on this year. Training for under 8s and under 10s continues on Saturday morning at the banks from 10am - 11am. The under 14 boys will have training in the banks this Sunday evening from 7pm - 8pm.
The under 16 boys will have training on Monday from 7pm - 8pm and on Thursday from 6pm - 7pm. The minors will have training on Tuesday evening from 6pm - 7pm with a game against Bundoran on Friday evening. |
